   When CompUSSR closed their last round of stores, they brought in junk products, raised prices, advertised, then discounted to a price over what the products had been selling for previously, offered no returns (sold as-is), took no checks, and were generally even more worthless than they had been in the 1st place.

   Looks like the only store here in town they have left will stay, but don’t see how. Maybe OD, CC, BB, et. al. are paying them to stay in business, to make them look good and knowledgeable?

   If anyone can manage to get any good deals out of these closings, CONGRATS!

   David; I think it would be a good idea if you can make a list of states and people can list the stores that are closing in that state… A compiled list will help everyone who cant find a closing store in the area…

   All the stores except for the Rockford store in Illinois are closing.

   I’ve been going in there over the past week or so. The prices really aren’t that great. 10% off pretty much everything in the store. They are advertising “up to 20%” but I’ve yet to find the one item that legally makes that true. I actually found better prices at Radio Shack!

   Advice: wait a month until they’re getting down to the scraps and selling stuff for 50% off. Then it might be worth it.
