Both worked for me. I don’t think that I ever had a problem with Target links in the past.

The staples one below–for the 19″ monitor is blocked–if you wanted to try that one.

Thanks for the help! Here’s a New Staples Link which should go to the homepage at Staples.com…

It still didn’t work for me

All links worked for me (FF). Like justkris0 said, I’ve never had problems with Target links or any for that matter.

Unfortunately, it looks like my little work around idea doesn’t work…
I guess here is the only solution:
If you or your company has installed an ad blocker or Kazaa Lite, it may block certain links that DailyTool.com uses. You can fix it by using the adblocker’s settings to unblock the domains listed below. BEFORE starting this, read through it along with the comments below.
- bfast.com
- linksynergy.com
- qksrv.net
- tkqlhce.com
- cc-dt.com
- commission-junction.com
- cj.com
Almost all ad blockers use the hosts file so if your ad blocker doesn’t have the option to unblock certain domains, you can fix it manually by editing the hosts file. Depending on your operating system the file will be located in different directories.
Windows 95/98/Me
c:\windows\hosts
Windows NT/2000/XP Pro
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows XP Home
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Linux /etc/hosts
Once you locate the hosts file, open it up with a text editor such as notepad and remove any lines with the following:
- bfast.com
- linksynergy.com
- qksrv.net
- tkqlhce.com
- cc-dt.com
- commission-junction.com
- cj.com
After that, save and close all your browser windows. The links should work now. If the links still don’t work, make sure you are editing the hosts file located in the specific directory mentioned above.
If that does not work, try disabling your firewall and any ad blocking programs or let me know which program you’re using and I’ll try to find the host file location from the software company.

Got the same results with the old site. Got a redirect page with both the new sites, then the page not displayed page. Turned off zone alarm and spysweeper, and got the same. Looked in the host folder and could not find any of the above files. Hope this helps. Steve

That’s VERY Helpful. Thanks for the input Steve.
If zone alarm and spysweeper are turned off and the links don’t work, you still have software running somewhere that is blocking the sites. A lot of the browser toolbars (like yahoo/google) come with their own blocking software so you may check that.
Try doing a search (start button) for “host” and see if you can find the file.
I’m going to check out your two programs and get back to you if i can get specific instructions for those. Sometimes they are difficult to turn off so they may still be the problem.

David,
I did edit the host and did a search for the above names and found several. When I edited them out, I tried to save the new host file but could only save it as a text file as I could not determine what type of file if is. When I rebooted my system the original host file reappeared along with my edited text file version. I don’t know how to save the host file with the edits, any clues?
Steve

Try re-editing the host file again (not your saved text file), then when you go to save it, select “Save As” instead of “Save” - Then select the file that you are editing. I believe that will save it as the same file type.

What antivirus/firewall program are you using on your computer?
